My name is Kelly Shibari. I’m a mold-breaking Adult Industry professional with multiple college degrees, a Mensa-grade IQ, and a penchant for techno-geek steampunk.

I have a background in theatre technologies, accounting, grant-writing, administration, business communication and art direction. I have renovated my own house, and own and use my own power tools. I am a PC girl turned Mac geek and a gadget addict.

I’m also the President of Hourglass8 Media, which consults with clients as to how to most effectively market their product to the public through social media.

This blog covers the gamut of topics – we’ll cover everything from Psychology to Technology, Marketing to Legal Issues, and all points in between. In addition, we’ll be discussing social media, social networking, and social media marketing in two different ways:

1) As a means for entertainment industry professionals to learn how to navigate through new media to better promote their product, and

2) As a means for mainstream companies to get an “out of the box” thought process going in regards to how to market their product. We’re not talking topless car washes, people – we’re going to be talking seriously about how to go rogue and start thinking outside the box to market your product.

In addition, I am always available to consult/advise ladies who may be thinking about entering the adult industry. I believe that people who are well-informed and savvy are safest before jumping into a potentially scary business. Offering advice and someone logical to bounce thoughts and ideas off of is something I offer free of charge to ladies in the industry.
