BBW Porn and Why We Shouldn’t Judge

0bbw 240x300 BBW Porn and Why We Shouldnt Judge I saw Vanessa Reece first on the cover of BODacious magazine and I wish that there were more confident sexy BBWs out there – no matter how large, thick, curvy, or fat you are. Vanessa is not a porn actress – rather, she is a professional model and actress who has done some glamour layouts.

Vanessa was nice enough to allow me to repost something from her site, sexyhotfatties.com, that was written by T-Devil. I think that part of deciding that you’re in a particular niche is wondering if that niche is accepted by the general public, so reading an article like his helps understand stigmas a little.

Is BBW a fetish? Why isn’t it a preference? A few BBW adult actresses recently found out that they were not allowed to have a booth at AdultCon because of their size – AFTER they were originally accepted. I personally think that although it’s perfectly OK for a venue or convention to choose who they want and don’t want to showcase, but either they’ve got to hire better screeners to handle submissions, or a better PR firm to handle what I foresee as a PR disaster for the people at AdultCon.

Is BBW the same as, say, trans-porn, or BDSM, or midgets, or (gasp!) gay porn? I would hope that over time people would see BBW as well as the other “variants” as preferences rather than fetishes (except those that like the “fetish” title, of course!) – especially with celebrities becoming thinner and thinner these days.

Anyhow – without further ado, here is T-Devil…enjoy!

The Last Word, by T-Devil: BBW Porn and why we should not judge those involved.

Ever since I first got the Internet, some 12 or 13 years ago, I’ve always been into the BBW scene in one way or another. Most notably I’ve been into the adult end of it. As a personality, mine is geared towards that because of the way I see things in life. In truth, it was on the Internet I saw an image of a fat woman conveying sexuality, and it was then that I knew that this was something I would always be tied to in one way or another. Yeah, the sex and the nudity and the erotica is all nice, but at it’s core, it’s still a business. So, when I talk to Webmodels and Adult Entertainers, it’s not always as a fan.

In the years I have been involved with the BBW Adult Community, I have managed to forge some pretty good and lasting friendships. Webmodels, Webmasters, Magazine Publishers and Adult Performers, I have had conversations with many of them at one point or another, and I would like to eventually speak to them all. Each and every person I have met in this business has been good to me, mainly because I’m representative of many of the fat girl admirers out there.

But for me, it’s more than that. I approach each of these people as real friends rather than as business associates and entertainment providers. I have a unique perspective in this business. Not quite a consumer, not quite anything really. I’m just outspoken and I like to write. So, I don’t see myself as much, just a regular person.

And that is how I see everybody else. I’m not all like “I KNOW YOU! DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE??? AHHHHHH!”.
I see them as regular people. See, in this industry and on the Internet, it’s easy to think of one’s self as a celebrity.
“I’m big on the Internet”- that kind of thing.
But life is more than the Internet and once you get past the professional veneer of what it is one does for money on the Internet, you see the humanity that’s beneath.

These people are not much different than the college student or the home care taker. They pay their taxes just like the rest of us. They have their own unique things that make them human just like the rest of us. It’s easy for people not in the Adult Entertainment field to come up with outrageous ideas of the industry because they are only given so much to see, and the rest is conjuncture based on half truths and lies.

When I first got involved with the adult entertainment community, I knew I would see things nobody else would see. Things that you can’t unseen and truths you can never again be ignorant too. Now, it’s no secret that I like porn. It’s a form of entertainment like television and it is as entertaining as the theatre. Sex isn’t a spectator sport, but it sure can be fun to watch, and even more fun to participate in! I never understood why so many people have such an issue with it.

They have the right to their feelings and I’m not out to win hearts and minds. I do know what I like and I’m pretty sure nobody is going to change my mind about it. I respect them if they respect me. They don’t have too look, and I don’t have to listen. It sucks the world is like that, but that is how it is and it can be no other way because if it could, it would. So, we just have to deal with each other.

That being said, I’d like to say of my friends that work in this field that they work very hard at what they do and they do take a lot of pride in it. If you can’t take pride in something you’re doing then you shouldn’t be doing it. These people have overcome a lot of social stigma and have used that which society has deemed a detriment as a method to make money and form a business off of.

It’s not easy, no business venture ever is. There is an aspect of personal stake in it. It’s more profound than something financial or exploiting a talent like I do, which is writing. People can look at my writing and call me a hack, fine, whatever, can’t please everybody. But, when you have a nude website and it’s you in the pictures, you have to be a strong person to deal with the harsh criticism that is bound to come your way. People have a right to say the meanest things, it’s a principle of a freedom of speech based society.

But, if you can get past that, then there is a sense of profound satisfaction. The BBW market wouldn’t be as vibrant as it is if there was no sense of fulfillment. It’s not all about guys rubbing one out to porn pics. No, MANY of these sites have aspects of artistic merit and exhibit more than just nudity. They exhibit creativity.

Like I said earlier, I’m not out to change anyone’s mind. I just want to offer a different perspective on a controversial issue both in the size acceptance community and in society in general. This idea that adult entertainment is pure trash and anyone associated with it must be pure trash as well. This is incorrect thinking and an insane notion to have! The people in this industry are just that, people. Just like the rest of us. They may not have the same points of view as the rest of us, but they have as much of a right to express themselves as people have the right to voice their disagreement.

In this world, both voices are heard and both have a right to exist. The first step towards a peaceful world, is to respect one and other, even if we don’t agree with them.
