OK, I don’t do casting call type posts that often, but there are two separate projects going on that I’d love to share with you guys…

Things have changed in the past few years. If you think that you can continue by playing the “I’m better than the rest of you” game and come out ahead, then you’re probably going to be sadly mistaken.

I sat with Vanessa via IM the other night after she announced that her ebook, “Become a Professional Plus-size Model”, was ready to launch, and asked her a few questions about the ebook.

We say we teach our kids to be tolerant, but then we send them a mixed message when we can’t control our own emotions. Take the time. Learn tolerance in all its shapes and colors. Take a moment before reacting, screaming, shouting, throwing, and accusing. I think that you’d be surprised to find that most of the time, there was nothing to get all riled up about in the first place.

The silver lining in all of this is that I can take this experience and pass that lesson along to any new models looking into signing agreements with webmasters: OWN YOUR NAME. In all its shapes, variations, and forms. Otherwise, someone else will end up owning you.
