State of the Social Networks

Posted by Kelly Shibari On April - 12 - 2010

I’m a big fan of a trade publication that appears on tables at many of the adult webmaster conferences. With what happened at TPF in terms of the lack of understanding of social media, I think it’s important to reproduce some of the stories from AdultWebLife (with MikeB’s permission). Regardless of how a product is advertised, though, the format is still the same – a lot of American companies still shy away from placing ads on even remotely adult-themed programs, or creating ads that are suggestive.

Action, Reaction, and Overreaction

Remember what your parents told you – ignore the bullies and make friends with the good people, and you’ll go far. Don’t, and, well…..you don’t.

“I’m Misunderstood”

You hear about people getting fired because of their Facebook presence on a regular basis in the news. People’s Tweets, MySpace status updates, and Facebook photos are regularly perused to see what a person is like – through comments, posts and photos we are allowed a glimpse into the life of the person we are meeting online.
