So What are You Comfortable Doing?

WeirdJobs 300x193 So What are You Comfortable Doing?I should have a subheading for this blog: “Don’t Do Anything You’re Not Comfortable Doing”.

Seriously.

The camera is going to capture every single minute detail of your emotions as well as your physical talents. If you’re not comfortable doing a specific task, there are steps you must take. It’s kind of like a flowchart to show if a particular activity is something you’re ok with…or not.

(1) Have you done this act before?
If Yes, Go To (2). If No, Go To (3).

(2) Would you do this again?
If Yes, Go To (4). If No, Go To (5).

(3) Is this something you have a curiosity in, to see if you might like it?
If Yes, Go To (6). If No, Go To (5).

(4) Have fun! And stay safe!

(5) Duh! Just say no.

(6) Plan a non-camera date with someone to see if it’s something you’re interested in doing. Then Go To (1).

It’s a short flowchart, but helpful. Notice that nowhere in the flowchart was the question “Would you do this for XX amount of dollars?”. That’s because you shouldn’t consider ANY act on camera (or anywhere else for that matter) that you’re not personally comfortable doing.

I will have Industry Standard rates in a later blog, and you will notice that one of the items will be “Anal”. That’s because not every girl performs anal on camera, and so an additional price is placed on a scene with anal content. The same goes for bukkake, gangbangs, and extreme fetish (the kind that either leaves marks or involves something really out there).

I’m not saying to not engage in anal sex, or extreme fetish for that manner. If you’re a guy and you’re comfortable with, say, CBT (cock and ball torture), and you’re ok with it being filmed for posterity, then by all means be my guest. I’m never going to dissuade you from participating in acts that you are happy doing, as long as all parties are consenting adult. Same goes for talent that is “gay for pay” or “straight for pay”.

What I WILL say, however, is that if you’re not comfortable performing anything, don’t be persuaded by an extra $100, $500, or $1000…do it because you want to, not because you’re being paid to. No amount of money is going to make that scene go away if you think later that it just wasn’t something you were interested in being known for. One scene will make you known as an actress that will perform whatever act you do. So if you want to stay a soft-core girl, stay there. If you want to be an anal queen, be my guest. Just make sure that it’s a decision that you reached separate from any financial offer you might be given.

This follows my second rule: OWN EVERYTHING. (The first rule is RESPECT YOURSELF.) It’s not just applicable to tangible items like DVDs and scenes. It can also be applied to you as a product. Don’t be a studio puppet or a robot that just performs what is told of her. Be part of the process, and you’ll be happy with the end result.
