The interesting thing is that a recession is actually a great time to invest in internet marketing.
Before your spouse wonders about the last time you took a shower, or your friends wonder if you’re ill or dead…you might want to emerge from the confines of your self-imposed incarceration and get some fresh air.
The problem is that businesses haven’t really completely liked the notion of blogging yet. Do you really have time to add another project – a blog – to that ever-growing list of work duties?
If more people understood social media, I think that they would find that it’s an amazing tool to get the word out on any product or company, or any new product that a company might be looking to promote. Over the next couple of days, I’ll go over what social media marketing is, what it is not, and its differences from “old” media.
If you’re going to use affiliates as a money-making venture, then you’re going to not only have to increase the traffic to your site, but you’re going to have to make the affiliate something that a visitor is going to want to click on, and then make a purchase from. If you can do those two things, then you can make the affiliates work well for you.
Marketing is so important in any field that you are in. I have to market myself, my sites, my blog, and my Clips4Sales site, but I do take the time to market as an affiliate too. I went about mine in a different way.
Confidence isn’t being the arrogant authority on a subject. Admitting your faults and openly expressing your desire to learn and better yourself (in all the ways that is possible, from personal to business) is where REAL confidence comes in. Having the stones to admit that you’re not perfect but you’re open to suggestions is where real confidence comes in. And THAT’s sexy.
Make sure that the affiliate programs that you endorse and promote is in addition to what you’re selling. Let them be the cherry on the sundae…but make sure that you’re still the sundae.
I talked about how to use good customer service skills to entice customers through your online store. Today I’d like to continue talking about that, with some extra steps that are beneficial to maintaining customer loyalty.
Instead of dwelling on what might not be, or thinking about losses, try to plan for the worst case scenario in regards to your content and how it can be marketed.
